Virginia Gun Proposal SB16 is The California Assault Weapons Ban on Drugs

Looking at the table below you can see that the law proposed by communist rat Richard Saslaw is almost word for word a copy of the California law passed in 1999. With some notable additions. Specifically, you find the phrase: “any characteristic of like kind as enumerated in clauses (i) through (vii);” peppered throughout the law. What this “catch all” phrase does is vaguely covers whatever they want it to cover. So when some new innovation or workaround comes along this bad law would cover it.

A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:	A semi-automatic center-fire rifle that ~~expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material that~~ has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has one of the following characteristics:
A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.	a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the rifle;
A thumbhole stock.	a thumbhole stock
A folding or telescoping stock.	a folding or telescoping stock
A grenade launcher or flare launcher.	a grenade launcher; (vii) a flare launcher;
A flash suppressor.	a flash suppressor,
A forward pistol grip.	a second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;
	(v) a bayonet mount; (viii) a silencer; (ix) a flash suppressor; (x) a muzzle brake; (xi) a muzzle compensator; (xii) a threaded barrel capable of accepting (a) a silencer, (c) a muzzle brake, or (d) a muzzle compensator; or (xiii) any characteristic of like kind as enumerated in clauses (i) through (xii);
